This film tells the true story of Augusta Chiwy, a Belgian nurse who volunteered service in a U.S. Army medical aid station during the Battle of the Bulge.

Interspersed with the story of Augusta’s experiences in Bastogne are clips from interviews with military historian and author Martin King.

Description: Searching for Augusta - the Forgotten Angel of Bastogne tells the story of how one black woman in 1944 overcame racism, the German's, and the odds to become one of the Second World War's unlikeliest heroes.
