As we've been reporting on this blog, Army Staff Sgt. Francisco Carrillo Jr., who earned a Valorous Unit Award in 2005 for combat duty in Iraq, has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder eight times by different doctors, including physicians at the Veterans Administration (VA), but the Army continues to deny his PTSD claim.
He wrote me this morning to give me an update on his status on this, the last official day of his service with the military:
