The military's highest court has reinstated the conviction of Sgt. Lawrence Hutchins for killing an unarmed Iraqi man in Hamdania in 2006. The Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces' decision means Hutchins will have to go back to the brig and serve out the five years left on his 11-year term. According to the Associated Press, Hutchins had already served four years when he was released:
Hutchins's defense attorney, Babu Kaza, told the AP that Hutchins will return to the brig today. Kaza says Hutchins has said goodbye to his pregnant wife and six-year-old daughter. His supporters have a Facebook page set up if you're interested: Click here for the link.
