General David Petraeus, commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, testified today before the House Armed Services Committee about the future of the military's involvement in Afghanistan. When challenged by Republican Congressman Walter B. Jones about his own belief in the mission, Petraeus retorted that his son Stephen had served in Afghanistan:
