In the absolutely not shocking news category, a new poll finds nine out of ten Americans approve of the United States military's killing of Osama bin Laden. The Associated Press conducted the poll along with GfK, a marketing research group, from May 5 through May 9. According to a story about the poll released by the A.P.:
The other not surprising big finding of the survey: President Barack Obama's popularity has surged since he ordered the killing of bin Laden. This particular poll shows his approval rating at 60 percent. That's the highest it's been since right after he took office, when 64 percent of Americans approved of the president's performance.
