Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mike Mullen made his third appearance on "The Daily Show" last night, and had a lot to say about the importance staying apolitical and listening to different opinions in a job like his.
Admiral Mullen told Stewart:
Stewart spent several weeks together in Afghanistan with Mullen this summer. Former stand-up comedian Stewart participated in a USO Tour meant to boost troop morale.
Mullen is slated to retire from his post at month's end. He told Stewart his plans for retirement included "A long winter's nap."
