I must say, these surprise military reunions are getting more and more clever. This time, Staff Sgt. Therron Johnson used a school spelling bee to surprise his daughter with an unexpected homecoming. Johnson had been on deployment in Iraq since last Christmas, according to Florida television station CBS12.
His little girl, 9-year-old Skylar Johnson, was participating in her Boca Raton elementary school's spelling bee when she received an unexpected prize for correctly spelling the word "Sergeant."
