The Navy relieved Cmdr. Jonathan Jackson of his duty on board the USS Carl Vinson last week. Jackson commanded the EA-6B Prowler squadron.

Cmdr. Pauline Storum, spokeswoman for the Naval Air Forces command at North Island Naval Air Station, told the San Diego Union-Tribune that Jackson made a series of "inappropriate and derogatory remarks" against his subordinates.

The Stars and Stripes reports Jackson was the 22nd Navy skipper fired this year.
