I posted a story yesterday about Cpl. Jesse Thorsen publicly supporting Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul while in uniform. The actions of the Army Reserve soldier prompted the Department of Defense to start issuing election year "guidance" to servicemembers, reminding them it is strictly forbidden to publicly endorse a candidate while in uniform:
