The world's largest naval maritime exercise is underway in Hawaii. The San Diego-based USS Essex is among the scores of vessels participating in the exercise, known as RIMPAC, or Rim of the Pacific.
According to the Navy, 42 ships, six submarines, and more than 200 aircraft from 22 countries are participating in RIMPAC. At least 25,000 service members from around the world are taking part.
The Pentagon Channel has a wrap-up of RIMPAC, posted above.
RIMPAC lasts until August 3rd.
