Dairy Prices Drift Higher in U.S., Globally

You can expect to pay $3 a gallon for it in a lot of places, and the price is going higher as we head into the summer. No, we're not talking about gasoline — we're talking about milk.

For most of this year, prices for milk, butter and cheese have drifted higher, not just in the United States but around the world. Robert Siegel talks with Dr. Lane Ely, professor of dairy science at the University of Georgia, who explains the trend.P>
