A local rescue group and residents of Ocean Beach are trying to track down the person responsible for shooting four wild parrots.
The Ocean Beach/Point Loma community has collected at least $1,200 for information that would help identify whoever shot the parrots.
The first bird was found dead Feb. 19. Another three birds were found last week. Three of the birds were found at Talbot Street and Gage Drive. SoCal Parrot founder Brooke Durham said federal animal cruelty charges are a felony.
The rescue group is asking people with information to email SoCal Parrot at info@socalparrot.org.
