Community advocates say the latest arrest is a step forward but it’s not enough. -
More than 50 community members gathered in peaceful protest Saturday evening for an anti-hate rally following the stabbing of a 16-year-old Black girl the previous weekend in Lakeside. -
San Diego County Sheriff's Department detectives are continuing their investigating Saturday after they re-arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with an earlier stabbing in the Lakeside neighborhood of San Diego. -
Video cameras mounted outside and inside the building and one worn by an officer captured audiovisual footage of the shooting, during which the officers discharged about three dozen rounds. -
The state Senate Education Committee rejected the firearms reporting requirement three weeks ago as an invasion of privacy. So Democratic Sen. Anthony Portantino reworked his bill. -
A 16-year-old boy suspected of stabbing a teenage girl in an apparent hate crime in Lakeside pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. -
Even so, the MTS encouraged riders to continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing if possible to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
