Travel at Lindbergh Field resumed as usual Tuesday morning after the heavy fog that prompted some incoming flights to be delayed or diverted cleared out.
The fog began rolling into the area around 8 p.m. Monday. By 10:30 p.m., visibility was at a quarter-mile, with a 100-foot ceiling, according to airport officials. A ground stop was issued, but has since been lifted.
At least seven flights bound for Lindbergh Field on Monday night were diverted to Los Angeles International Airport and at least four departing flights were delayed due to foggy conditions.
As many as 60,000 airline passengers are expected to pass through the airport each day during the Thanksgiving travel period, according to airport officials.
