  • Get ready for a day of friendly competition, community spirit, and local flavor at the inaugural OMBAC on Third: Pickleball & Cornhole Tournament, coming to Downtown Chula Vista on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hosted by the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC), this first-of-its-kind event will transform Third Avenue between E and F Streets into a lively sports arena with roughly ten pickleball courts and thirty cornhole courts, all to benefit the Chula Vista Fire Department Heritage Foundation. Players and spectators alike can enjoy a full day of fun, food, and local entertainment. Third Avenue will be lined with local vendors and food options, while a beer garden on Davidson Avenue will feature craft brews from some of Chula Vista’s favorite breweries. Whether you’re competing for the top prize or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a great way to support a meaningful cause while celebrating the best of the community.
