From August 1-3, Old Town’s iconic Bazaar del Mundo Shops will present its Latin American Market, transforming its courtyard into a small marketplace with genuine folk art, handwoven textiles, stunning jewelry and meticulously crafted ceramic and clay pottery made by “The Best of the Best.” This is an opportunity for guests to take a timeless piece of culture, tradition and history home, and enjoy live demonstrations, Latin guitar serenades and award-winning Mexican cuisine from neighboring Casa Guadalajara. This is a free event with opening hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Downtown’s The Whiskey House, which holds the Guinness World Record for Most Variety of Whiskeys Available, is hosting its July Whiskey Club Event on Wednesday, July 16 with Fallon, NV’s Frey Ranch Farmers + Distillers, the most awarded distillery at the 2025 American Spirits Council of Tasters Awards with 27. Tickets are $45 (plus fee). Spend the week designing your own Hero and Monster inspired by the Museum's collection: Learn how to use art for good by developing your own art superpowers. Create a persona by dawning masks and capes influenced by Nick Cave. Use John Baldessari's conceptual powers to fight "Boring Art." Schedule Day 1: Start the week by imagining your superhero, or good-monster alter-ego, and its artful superpowers! Then, create your helmet. Day 2: Make your shield and cape and create dice to guide your way.
