  • The San Diego Automotive Museum and the San Diego Blood Bank are teaming up to save lives through their annual blood drive on March 8 from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Ray Brock Hall of Fame on the second floor of the museum, located at 2080 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101. Last year’s drive made a significant impact, with 40 draws helping to save around 120 lives, thanks to the generosity of community donors. As a token of appreciation, all donors will receive a free family membership to the San Diego Automotive Museum, which guarantees free unlimited admission for one year for two adults and four children in the same household as well as two guest passes. While appointments are preferred for participation in this life-saving initiative, walk-ins are also welcome, subject to availability. The San Diego Blood Bank must collect more than 350 units of blood each day to meet the needs of local patients throughout Southern California. Blood donations help those facing life-threatening conditions, including cancer, severe burns, trauma, emergency surgeries, organ transplants, and childbirth complications. Just one pint of blood can save three patients. All blood types are needed.
