Regarded as one of the foremost sculptors of the twentieth century, this exhibition showcases Chillida’s profound attunement to the landscape as well as his sensitive handling of materials associated with his native Basque Country, including iron, steel, and oak. Chillida’s sculptures join elements of nature—such as earth, sea, wind, light, and space—with aspects of culture, including music, poetry, philosophy, and architecture.
