An original Spanish-language family comedy by Soledad Escobedo, Tierra Caliente presents “My Little Treasure for Rent.” As the sun rises on one of the many Mexican communities in the highest part of Cerro del Bernal, an impoverished single mother is forced to decide between selling or renting out her "little treasure." Enjoy this delightful family comedy written and directed by Soledad Escobedo and performed by the theater students of Tierra Caliente Academy with a special guest appearance by Fernando Bernal. There will be time for questions from the audience. Gerry Braun serves as IRESN's Chair. His knowledge of energy markets, electricity systems and clean energy supply technologies is rooted in his work over the years with leading firms and agencies such as Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Bechtel, Southern California Edison Company, BP Solar, Standard Solar, the US Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission. He organized and managed important and continuing US and California energy R&D programs and also held senior executive, marketing and business development roles in global and local solar companies. He is a member and recent chair of the Gas Technology Institute’s Public Interest Advisory Committee. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and graduate degrees in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Indie dream pop artist moondaddy first began in singer/songwriter Cara Potiker’s San Diego bedroom, dreamt up as a pressure valve for the existential dread of the 2020 lockdown. During that time Potiker began diving deep into analog audio, spending hours in her bedroom songwriting and making physical demo tapes.After pairing with Texas-based producer El Cosmophonico (real name Manuel Calderon), Potiker began transforming those demo tapes into expansive reverb-soaked odysseys with her forthcoming debut album, Poet Lies.
