  • Learn to Weave with Silk! No experience necessary. Ages 14+ welcome! In instructor Jeanine Ertl’s class, students will weave together in a space of colorful creativity and openness. She will provide instruction on weaving, a warped lap loom and a rainbow of recycled sari silk ribbon and yarn fibers to ignite your imagination. And we’ll weave together, learning and playing with the basics of the process from start to finish, each creating a unique handwoven that can be hung or draped, according to your desires. Please feel free to bring any items you may want to incorporate into your weaving, like interesting fibers, foraged and gathered natural objects, shells with holes, beads, etc. you may want to incorporate into your weaving. Each Weaver will complete a one-of-a-kind Handwoven Wall Hanging. In addition, if you find that you’re in love with the practice, you will have an option to purchase the loom you are working with, as well as additional fiber and tools to continue at home.
