  • Join us on Wednesday, March 16th at 3:00 pm on Crowdcast for a virtual event with Peter Swanson to discuss his newest novel Nine Lives. Joining him in conversation will be fellow author Lynne Constantine! Nine strangers receive a list with their names on it in the mail. Nothing else, just a list of names on a single sheet of paper. None of the nine people know or have ever met the others on the list. They dismiss it as junk mail, a fluke -- until very, very bad things begin happening to people on the list. This event is free to attend and will be streamed on Crowdcast. Register here!

Researchers have proposed at least five different methods for achieving this re-location. However, no previous studies have considered the structural engineering limitations of the moai transport methods themselves. This paper applies structural engineering analysis to the moai transport methods proposed by Heyerdahl, (Hunt&Lippo, Pavel), Mulloy, Love, and Van Tilburg. This event will be held on Zoom. Make sure to register by 4 p.m. on March 10. Proceeds from our Living Room Lecture series help provide critical support for the care of Center collections and programs for all ages. Date: Thursday, March 10, 2022 Time: 6:30 PM Location: Online on Zoom Cost: Pay what you wish
