Miss Alaska Earth USA, Kimberly Keen, and One Digital World Executive Director, Casey Myers Doane, are hosting the Walk for Wildlife Run For Refugees 5k in San Diego. The Wildlife Run For Refugees 5K aims to build support for both environmental and humanitarian causes. Half of the proceeds will go to a fundraiser in Keen’s name for the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, CA to aid in wildlife recovery efforts from the October Huntington Beach oil spill. The other half of the proceeds will go to One Digital World, the San Diego-based organization that provides digital literacy programs and education to refugees around the world.
