First performed on the streets of Tokyo, Japan in 1929, Kamishibai Storybox Theater has captivated children and adults alike for nearly a century. The narrator tells the story while revealing sequential pictures inside a small wooden box that serves as a stage. Simple yet compelling, Kamishibai is always a joyful and often riveting experience.
