From November 2–9, 2025, the San Diego Food + Wine Festival (SDFW) transforms “America’s Finest City” into an eight-day epicurean playground, blending flavor, culture, wellness, and advocacy in a way no other festival does. Now in its 21st year, San Diego Food + Wine has evolved into one of the largest culinary festivals of impact in the country, attracting over 11,000 food and wine enthusiasts from bothvsides of the U.S./Mexico border. Bagavagabonds partners with the Festival to debut That’s Cool! Try & Buy Shoppe, a new experience-driven retail pop-up at Malibu Farms in Seaport Village.   • An Evening to Celebrate and Support the Future of Cheetahs in Africa Action for Cheetahs in Kenya (ACK) is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Cheetah Soirée Gala, taking place on Friday, October 11, from 5 p.m.–8 p.m. at the Mangelsen—Images of Nature Gallery in La Jolla. This inspiring evening will bring together wildlife enthusiasts, conservation supporters, and the local community for a cause that impacts one of Africa’s most iconic species. Guests will enjoy authentic Kenyan cuisine provided by Rafikiz Catering, fine wine and drinks, as well as an auction and raffle featuring unique items and experiences.   • Upcycle Your Own Item! Learn to Carve & Block Print! Choose from: Thursday, October 2, 6-8 p.m. or Thursday, November 6, 6-8 p.m. Have you ever wanted to print your own designs on shirts and bags?! In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn the art of relief printing! Students will learn to design and carve their own linoleum stamp and block print an image onto fabric. We invite you to upcycle fabric from your own wardrobe or home for this class, so grab a well-loved favorite item or something that could use a fun refresh and begin imagining some fun designs you might carve and print! Because this class focuses on upcycling, please bring your own fabric to block print on. This can be clothing, a tote bag or something else. You may bring more than one item and the instructor can help you choose which to print on in class. We recommend you avoid fabrics that are especially thin, like satins and silks. All other tools and materials needed for this class will be supplied for use.
