Necessity Coffee, known for its carefully crafted espresso drinks and a strong community-focused, creative vibe, is hosting a grand opening celebration Saturday, March 7 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its newest location at 250 North City Drive in the North City district in San Marcos. The event will feature a live DJ and special giveaways. The first 50 guests in line will receive a free coffee and a t-shirt courtesy of North City, inviting neighbors to join the celebration and sample what’s in store. Founded by Jon Runion, Necessity Coffee offers a rotating drink program designed to keep the menu fresh while always delivering everyday favorites. Guests can expect classic staples including drip coffee, pour over, vanilla lattes, flat whites, matcha, and chai, along with seasonal specialty drinks. The shop will also offer loose leaf tea and assorted pastries.
