  • Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Caltrans is closing traffic at the 43rd St on and off-ramps at Interstate 805 while crews perform routine scheduled road and landscape maintenance. As the work is being performed, members of the public will have the opportunity to walk and bike the highway while helping to clean it up and learn more about the Reconnecting Communities: Highways 2 Boulevards Pilot Program. Caltrans, SANDAG, Mundo Gardens, and the Urban Collaborative Project CDC will host this family-friendly event, which will include booths from public agencies and community organizations, live art demonstrations, and other engagement activities.
