San Diego County food relief organization Feeding San Diego is collecting funds and donations for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Our colleagues at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, are facing urgent need due to the wildfires burning throughout Los Angeles County. Please donate to help Feeding San Diego purchase the items they are in critical need of, including bottled water/hydrating beverages, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals. Most-needed items include: -Bottled water/hydrating beverages (coconut water, electrolyte drinks) -Packaged and shelf stable snacks (like peanut butter crackers, energy/protein bars, fruit snacks, and jerky) -Ready-to-eat meals (this includes pop top canned meat and individual cereal boxes) We will be making multiple trips up to Los Angeles to deliver these essential supplies. The organization says its fundraiser will be used for critical need items, including “bottled water, hydrating beverages, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals.” Donate at give.feedingsandiego.org/campaign/654534/donate. It will collect items at the Feeding San Diego location in Sorrento Valley at 9477 Waples St., Suite 100. The collection will be taken from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
