  • "Walking In Beauty, Life as Ceremony" is a new exhibition at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center from November 8 - 30, 2025, displaying information about missing and murdered indigenous women. Organized and curated by Artivists Way of the Sacred Mountain organization, Teyana Viscarra and Norm Sands with Heather Gallana, Indigenous Cultures Educator at the museum. The Honoring Ceremonies with blessings will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Way of the Sacred Mountain is an Indigenous-led, grassroots partnership that breaks the silence on the brutal truths of the past and the continuing injustices of the present. Through the exhibition, the artivists hope to raise awareness of crucial issues impacting Indian Country, especially the crisis of MMIW, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Warriors. They provide a safe space and a call for healing through prayer, action, and remembrance. This is a free public exhibition and event. During the Opening Ceremony on November 8, visitors will experience Kumeyaay culture as well as crafts and food. The Bonita Museum & Cultural Center is located on traditional Kumeyaay lands along the Sweetwater River. Parking is free.   • This Veterans Day Weekend, SeaWorld San Diego is proud to partner with Navy Federal Credit Union to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the annual Red, White and Blue Salute. This year’s celebration introduces exciting new features including a community pop-up area hosted by local non-profit organizations. These activations will spotlight community impact, provide resources for veterans and their families, and offer guests meaningful ways to engage with causes that support those who have served. Veterans, active-duty members and up to three family members will receive complimentary one-day admission tickets through the Waves of Honor program. Thanks to Navy Federal Credit Union, veterans and active-duty military members visiting the park Veterans Day weekend will also receive special benefits, including a priority entrance. Red, White & Blue Salute Schedule of Events Throughout the weekend, the park will open each day with a flag ceremony and the national anthem, paying tribute to the service and sacrifice of all the brave men and women who have protected the freedoms of all Americans. A Field of Honor will also be created in the park with 1,000 American flags to represent local veterans and their families. Guests will also be able to dedicate a flag with a personal note to their hero. In addition, the park will be recognizing veterans and their service at the Orca Encounter presentation all weekend long. Navy Federal Credit Union will also host an onsite activation during select hours each day and Veterans and active-duty service persons are encouraged to visit this activation located on Sky Tower Lawn. Local community organizations dedicated to supporting service members and veterans, including Wounded Warrior Foundation, Freedom Dogs, Wounded Warrior Project, Paws for Purple Hearts, Blue Star Families and more will have a dedicated pop-up area at Orca Encounter, in which guests will have the opportunity to engage with these organizations and learn more about their impactful missions. In addition, guests can also visit a dedicated photo backdrop to reflect, remember and pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for the country. To cap off each night, guests can view a patriotic Veteran’s Day Fireworks Show presented by Navy Federal Credit Union from Saturday, November 8 through Monday, November 10. As the sun sets, the night sky will light up with a dazzling display of red, white and blue in celebration of the bravery and service of our nation's heroes. This special display will take place ten minutes prior to park closing. For those looking for unlimited fun throughout the year, SeaWorld offers former military personnel and their families the Military Silver Pass for just $113. The Silver Pass provides unlimited admission for 12 months, free general parking, three free guest tickets and up to 20% off in-park offerings. Up to six Military Passes can be purchased per former military personnel to share with their family.
