  • Freddie’s Place Announces “Freddie’s Christmas Wish” Donation Drive for Shelter & Rescue Pets, along with a new Pet Ambulance & Transport Vehicle The funny little dog with the plush red ball & huge heart for his community is at it again! Freddie’s Place Animal Hospital + Urgent Care, in partnership with their sister charitable organization “A Favor for Freddie,” is rolling out a Nationwide Holiday Initiative to provide animals in shelters or rescues a brighter and Merrier Christmas. With more than 2 million animals in shelters at any time, and untold amounts with rescue organizations, Freddie’s Place has a very special ask from San Diego Pet families & people across the nation that love animals. “Freddie’s Christmas Wish” is a donation driven event requesting for blankets, treats, toys, & pet food from the community at large. Donations will be accepted at the Freddie’s Place Vista location thru December 30th. Several times during the month, the Freddie’s Place “Best Care Anywhere Team” will also be out and about at “Stuff the Ambulance” events. The more donations received, the more shelter and rescue pets have a toy, treat, or warm blanket to celebrate Christmas. To further clarity, the Best Care Anywhere Team at Freddie’s Place indicated “No donation is too small for this event. It’s a great way for anyone in our community to help these forgotten animals in need with whatever sized donation they can afford.” Since both of Freddie’s organizations have such a large network of friends reaching across the nation, they are welcoming anyone outside of the San Diego area to join in on this great cause by donating directly to a shelter or rescue of their choice near their home. By simply taking a picture of the act of donating at the facility and sending that picture via email or Direct Message, the folks at Freddie’s Place will assure the person donating is recognized on all Freddie’s social media sites. People who provide donations will also be the recipient of a Freddie pin for their donation. Freddie asks everyone who cares about pets to be a part of this worthwhile initiative. Also happening at Freddie’s Place, in step with their motto “We’re Keeping the Ball Rolling.” the hospital is proud to introduce “The Freddie’s Place Ambulance & Transport Vehicle.” This state of the art wonder will likely be rolling into a neighborhood near you early in 2024. Freddie’s Place will be featuring their pet ambulance at area venues, providing on-the-spot medical assistance for pets with urgent health needs. Research shows that San Diego is one of the most pet friendly cities in the nation. As pets are given more and more access to events with their owners, the team at Freddie’s Place will be here to support San Diego pet families. Freddie’s Place also intends to offer mobile vaccine clinics and other health related services to areas that are veterinarian deserts or have lower income populations. The Pet Ambulance (aka, “The Fred-mobile) will be a mobile Urgent Care and Wellness Center on wheels, as well as a transport vehicle, and good will ambassador for the hospitals brand. There are more plans in the works to utilize the new ambulances capabilities in service of the community. For more information on the Ambulance & Transport Vehicle, or to find out more on how you can help make “Freddie’s Christmas Wish” come true, contact Allyson at Freddie’s Place by dialing 760-Freddie.
