About the Author Tracy Badua is a Filipino American author of books about young people with sunny hearts in a sometimes stormy world. By day, she is an attorney who works in national housing policy and programs, and by night, she squeezes in writing, family time, and bites of her secret candy stash. She lives in San Diego, California, with her family. About the Conversation Partner Kat De Los Reyes has been a bookstagrammer since 2020 and a reader since she was 3 years old. On Instagram, she is the host of the annual #APIBookstagramTour, helped organize the #StandUpForAAPI campaign in 2021, and her account @booknerdkat been featured in @buzzfeedbooks. Kat is an avid book reviewer, supporter of the public library and independent bookstores, and enjoys promoting books --especially works from BIPOC authors. A first-generation Filipino immigrant, she is active in the AAPI community and has a career in public service.
