When the hyper-sleep pods malfunction, however, all four humans will have no choice but to get along with each other in cramped quarters with dwindling supplies throughout the entire seven month journey. Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year and celebrates the return of the light as each day becomes longer until the Summer Solstice in June. As this long night approaches, we’ll gather to light our Solstice candles and write our way into the dark. Inspired by the spirit of the Winter Solstice and celebrations both ancient and new, we’ll explore legends and myths that surround the ancient festival and create our own celebration with ritual and writing.
