On Christmas Eve, Cliff, a newly sober improv comedian, cracks a tooth and lands in the emergency care of Didi, an older no-nonsense dentist. What begins as a routine check-up sparks an unpredictable evening of misadventures. Together, Cliff and Didi fight to overcome being shut out by their families, face their biggest fears, and discover their own surprising and tender connection. Join us to get outside, immerse yourself in nature, and make a positive impact for the San Diego River! Join a community of like-minded volunteers working to restore the San Diego River Estuary - a highly sensitive habitat that is home to several endangered species. By removing invasive plants, you’ll directly support the return of native pollinators and wildlife, prevent erosion, improve water quality, and protect endangered species, like the California Least Tern. Together, we will create a healthier, more accessible natural space for the entire community to enjoy. This is a huge effort and a great opportunity for those looking to try out field work, connect with fellow nature lovers, make a meaningful difference for a critical and fragile ecosystem, and explore the beautiful estuary habitat! We’d love to see you there! At the same time, the education team will also be promoting our Outdoor Education Field Trip programs. We offer free, nature-focused STEM field trips that encourage students to explore and learn about the significance of the San Diego River through hands-on activities, experiments, and games. This event will showcase the variety of experiences we provide, which includes nature-based arts and crafts, as well as games designed to teach participants about local birds, pollinators, aquatic invertebrates, and more! Resonance is a free, all-ages event hosted by St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church and Oceanside Theatre Company, that builds community through creative expression. Held in OTC's Studio 219 (219 North Coast Highway), this is a space for all creatively-inclined people — artists, musicians, writers, and more — to showcase their work and to practice spontaneous creation together. It’s not quite an open mic, jam session, drum circle, or art night — but it has elements of all of these. All are welcome to participate as much or as little as they choose. If you’d prefer to just come and enjoy the vibe and performances, you are welcome to do that too.
