Created in 2011, Euphoria Brass Band is an award winning, critically acclaimed seven piece San Diego based musical powerhouse. Euphoria offers an exciting mix of New Orleans infused brass band jazz, funky street beats and new school edginess with a West Coast vibe! A SoCal favorite playing many high profile music venues, festivals, parades, corporate events and weddings, Euphoria performs internationally as well. They have played several festivals in Mexico and recently performed in Japan at the 30th Annual 2022 Yokohama Jazz Promenade Festival. With a new project in the works and four recordings to date, Euphoria Brass Band has received 11 San Diego Music Award nominations since 2011. In 2019 and 2020 Euphoria received the San Diego Music Award for “Best Jazz”. In addition, in 2019 the band won CityBeat Magazine’s “ San Diego’s Best Band” award. Join us for the 2025 Tolley Dances™ on the MTS Green Line Trolley! This iconic event has been bringing San Diego together for 27 years through site-specific dance that highlights our city's diversity, culture, and community. Choreographers include Blythe Barton, Bernard Brown, Megan Curet, Lavina Rich, Odessa Uno and the creator of Trolley Dance and former Artistic Director Jean Isaacs. Parking: Free parking at Fashion Valley Transit Center. Ticketing: Ticketing table can be located inside of the MTS Fashion Valley Transit Center on the corner of Fashion Valley road and Riverwalk Drive. *Kids age 8 and under may ride and join the tour for free with a paying adult. Held every summer since 1998, the Carlsbad Village Association’s Art in the Village will return on Sunday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its 27th year! This one-day, open-air art show brings together 150 local and regional fine artists for a dynamic, coastal-influenced art show. All artwork is juried guaranteeing excellent quality in a wide variety of mediums including oil, watercolor, mixed media, digital, glasswork, photography, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, and more. Patrons can interact with the artists in their booths, and all artwork on display is for purchase. Celebrating the dynamic art culture in Carlsbad Village and the surrounding areas, this annual event attracts approximately 10,000 art enthusiasts each year. Starting at 10 a.m., just two blocks from Carlsbad State Beach, attendees can browse vibrant exhibits and meet the artists along State Street and Grand Avenue. Art in the Village also features: • Three musical acts, including live performance art on the State Street Main Stage. • Local sidewalk musicians playing throughout the venue during the day. • Live glassblowing by Barrio Glassworks. • Sculpting with live models by Lieu de Sculpture. • Chalk Zone with live painting by multiple local and regional artists. • Free art making pavilion for children and their families, called "Pop-Up Art: An Interactive Encounter," operated by the City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts. • Face painting for kids. San Diego Foundation ArtWalk is back at Liberty Station for its 20th year, bringing a weekend-long celebration of arts and culture to San Diego’s Liberty Station. ArtWalk kicks-off with a Preview pARTy, sponsored by Ranch & Coast Magazine, where guests can get early access – meet the artists and view art pieces before the crowds. The sneak peek event will feature Never Die Young, a James Taylor tribute band, then Fleetwood Max. Tasty festival food will also be available for purchase and a variety of beverage options.
