In this workshop, students will learn the fundamental process of steam bending wood, from wood selection and preparation, to the actual bending and drying process. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, students will each make their own steam-bent flower vase to take home. Materials are included. Students are asked to wear/bring long-sleeved clothing and a pair of thermal or heavy gloves. These are the instructor’s favorite gloves. Ages 18 and up. No experience necessary.
