In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn essential handbuilding techniques like slab construction and pinching to create a beautiful, functional trio: ● A slab-built sushi platter ● A matching chopstick rest ● A pinched dip bowl for soy sauce, pickles, or wasabi You’ll shape, texture, and personalize your pieces during the initial two 2-hour classes. Your pieces will then be dried and bisque fired. You’ll then return two weeks later for a glazing session to add food-safe finishes and bring your work to life. Projects will be ready to pick up 3-4 weeks after the last class. We recommend that each student bring an apron to wear and an older towel or a cloth rag. All materials provided.
