This is not a hip new zombified take on Louisa May Alcott's beloved story — it's actually Moxie's concurrent production of two full, intact plays, performed "in rep." This means the shows will run on the same stage with the same cast. The plays are "Little Women The Broadway Musical" (by Allan Knee, Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein) and Alexis Scheer's 2021 high school thriller, "Our Dear Dead Drug Lord." It doesn't sound like a natural combination, and that's kind of the point. Cast members Nio Russell, Mikaela Macias, Becca Myers Lena Ceja (all women) are tackling the four main characters in each show. And perhaps the big stars are the stage crew who'll swap out the sets each night.
