Everyone in the community is invited to attend Wings of Hope, hosted by The Elizabeth Hospice, on Sunday, April 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event will take place at the California Center for the Arts, located at 340 N. Escondido Blvd in Escondido. Attendees will have the opportunity to honor and celebrate the special people who have touched their lives. Admission is free. Attendees will receive a butterfly for release, listen to live music, hear uplifting messages from The Elizabeth Hospice’s grief support team, and enjoy sweet treats. The Elizabeth Hospice, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit healthcare leader, has been providing hospice care, palliative care and grief support services to children and adults in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County since 1978. The organization’s highly trained grief counselors help children and adults understand their feelings and thoughts and guide them through the process of coping with the death of a loved one. Grief support services are available to everyone in the community, including those who do not have a patient affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice. No one needing these services has ever been turned away for financial reasons. In support of the organization’s nonprofit mission, a donation of $50 is suggested to reserve a Painted Lady Butterfly. The San Diego State University (SDSU) Musical Theatre program proudly presents "RENT," running from May 2–8, 2025, on the university’s main stage. This highly anticipated spring musical will be directed by acclaimed theatre artist Courtney Corey, a 2020 Tony Award nominee for Excellence in Theatre Education. Written by Jonathan Larson, "RENT" revolutionized musical theatre with its powerful rock score and poignant storytelling. SDSU’s production promises to capture the raw energy and emotional depth of this beloved classic, offering audiences an unforgettable theatrical experience.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT – We provide clothing and supplies to unhoused people (both children and adults), victims of domestic abuse, foster youth, refugee families, community resource centers, and victims of emergencies such as floods and fires. ENRICHING FOSTER YOUTH – We help to expose foster youth to the arts with a focus on visual arts, music and performing arts in local venues by partnering with local foster organizations. BOOK BUDDIES – We assist students to become lifelong learners by collaborating with their teachers to encourage reading by practicing reading either in person or online in a one on one or group setting. OPERATION LOANER HEARING AID – We provide short term loaner hearing aids for newborns to young adults up to 21 who are waiting for replacements which can take 6 months. We also provide long term use for low-income families and children with significant hearing loss. We partner with San Diego United School District (East and South Counties) and SDSU Audiology Department. SNEAKERS FOR MILITARY PRESCHOOLERS – We provide sneakers, Bombas socks, sweatshirts, pants, pajamas, sunsuits and jackets for children of enlisted military personnel in partnership with STEP (Support the Enlisted Program). TWAIN HIGH SCHOOL – We provide recognition events to support students in this alternative high school program on the main campus, Mira Mesa, Morse, Crawford and Hoover High School campuses. We also provide financial scholarship support for students attending one of San Diego’s community colleges. UPPER DIVISION SCHOLARSHIPS – We provide scholarships for fulltime students who have completed community college and are transitioning to an accredited college or university in pursuit of a four-year degree or continuing in those community colleges that offer baccalaureate degrees.

As part of the 32nd annual San Diego Latino Film Festival's 'Arte Latino' we are partnering with the 'Rhythm & Roots' Arts and Culture series (Charanga Night), Senses Human Bistro, and UCSD Park & Market to bring you an amazing night of film, art, music, dancing, food, drinks and a great time with friends old and new. We will start the night off with a meet the Artist Reception from 4:30-6 p.m. on the second floor next to the Digital Gym Cinema where you will see some amazing Art and meet some of the Artists who created it. The devastation of the LA fires impacted so many people, and the recovery path for families with special needs is even more daunting. TERI has learned that over 240 homes burned within L.A.’s special needs community, and as a response, has put together a community event to raise funds for our neighbors up north. On February 1, TERI will host a benefit concert to help support special needs families impacted by the LA fires. Restoring Hope: A Benefit Concert for Special Needs Families will take place at The Bornemann Theatre, located at TERI Campus of Life, and will begin at 3:30 p.m. 100% of proceeds from the benefit concert will support three L.A. Regional Centers working directly with families with kids, adults, and seniors with special needs. Tickets for the concert can be purchased online and are $50 for general admission and $75 for front row seating. TERI Common Grounds Café will be open for lunch, dinner and concessions stands during the concert. The benefit concert will feature unforgettable performances by: Sara Jade Band – Captivating vocals and soulful melodies. [3:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.] Adin Boyer – American Idol and Autism advocate.
