"Pundemonium!" is a two-part event based on the format used by pun contests in cities nationwide: - In Part 1, Battle of the PUNdits, participants who have signed up in advance will deliver two-minute pun-filled speeches on a topic of their choice, and the audience will determine the winner. Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with us at the opening reception of "The Art of Abstraction," an exhibition of contemporary artists curated by the Coronado Art Association. The exhibit will be on display in the Spreckels Reading Room. Enjoy an afternoon of inspiring artwork, light refreshments, and live guitar music. As a special treat, artists Nancy Plank and Tina Christiansen will offer quick-draw portraits—creating free take-home sketches for a few moms randomly selected during the event.
