Each year, the Blue Ribbon Gala is held in April in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. With 300 community leaders, elected officials, caring partners, and philanthropists expected to attend, this signature event raises vital funding for Home Start to serve our community’s most vulnerable children, families, and individuals. This year’s gala pays tribute to spring flowers as a testament to the growth and blossoming that comes from Home Start’s programs. Each day, Home Start staff plant seeds of hope to inspire growth for children and their families. The organization’s critical services serve and empower children, youth, and families affected by tragedies including homelessness, domestic violence, hunger, abuse and trauma. Last year, the organization served over 22,000 individuals in San Diego County. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, delicious three-course dinner, live entertainment, and dancing to the music from local band Full Strength. There will also be chances to bid on premiere packages and specialty items during the silent and live auctions. Most importantly, the evening will feature powerful stories from clients about how their lives have been changed by Home Start’s vital programs. Ticket prices are $300 and $400 for VIP.
