Gator by the Bay is returning to the Spanish Landing Park in San Diego on May 9-12, 2024! Join the fun as the spirit, sounds and flavors of southwest Louisiana come alive at the largest and most-authentic Louisiana-style music and food festival this side of the bayou— back for its 21st year. The four-day, family-friendly cultural celebration takes place on the beautiful San Diego Bay, featuring 100+ live musical acts & performances on seven stages including blues, zydeco, Cajun, rockabilly and more.
This year will bring even more blues and headliners include GRAMMY-nominees Marcia Ball, Sonny Landreth and C.J. Chenier, son of the great “King of Zydeco” Clifton Chenier, who will be performing in celebration of his father’s 100 birthday. View the current 2024 lineup here.

Spanish Landing Park
A historical landmark, Spanish Landing Park is the site that commemorates the 1769 meeting of the Gaspar DePortola and Father Junípero Serra expeditions. The park features a pedestrian path, bike route, picnic tables, benches and the Callaway Carillon bell tower. Note: As of November 1, 2012, the playground equipment has been removed from Spanish Landing Park. Our inspection program revealed that the playground equipment had reached the end of its useful life. It will be replaced consistent with funding availability.
