Often referred to as “The Godfather of British Blues,” John Mayall has an impressive musical career that spans more than 50 years. The English blues singer, pianist, harmonica player, guitarist, and songwriter founded the band, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the 1960s — a band whose members included many celebrated blues and blues rock guitarists, such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Coco Montoya, and Walter Trout. In turn, Walter Trout considers Mayall to be his Brit-blues godfather; there’s rarely been a Trout record that didn’t include a tip of the hat to Mayall. Trout’s resume includes backup to John Lee Hooker in the ‘70s, grooving to Canned Heat in the ‘80s, and breaking through as a solo artist in the ‘90s. This special production features Mayall and Trout delivering both solo and dual performances in what is sure to be an awe-inspiring evening with legendary blues masters.
