Guest instructors teach this month-long series full of hands-on, engaging crafts using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) to teach hand skills to kids using safe materials. Each project teaches craftsmanship, dexterity and material exploration. Projects range from woodworking, sewing, ceramics, paper crafts, textiles to fusing glass. The Master Composter course provides training in the art and science of composting through lectures, demonstrations, and a field trip. Master Composter certification requires attendance at all five classes, as well as 30 volunteer hours of related community service.
