  • Kids explore ceramics and woodworking! Mon through Fri | July 28 – Aug 1 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ages 7-12 years welcome! This week of Summer Camp is all about ceramics & woodworking for kids! Kids learn woodworking hand tool techniques from woodworking professional, Steffanie Dotson. A mom, woodworker, furniture maker, and Executive Director at San Diego Craft Collective, she teaches woodworking to both children and adults year-round. With a focus on safety, Steffanie creatively mentors children and fosters confidence through woodworking. Kids will also explore ceramics with visual artist-educator, Lydia Kardos. Each camper will learn and practice ceramic hand building techniques to make fun, long-lasting projects in this traditional medium full of creative flexibility. This camp is for kids, ages 7-12 years. Projects and depth of learning are matched up to the children’s age/ability. OPTIONAL | Lunch Hour Supervision If there is a camp ending as ours begins and you need your child transferred from another camp, let us know! If your child is signed up for morning and afternoon camps here at The Maac at Liberty Station (the building San Diego Craft Collective is located in–Dorothy Laub Music & Arts Center), we’re here to provide that space for your them.
