Unlocking your best writing from your own life experiences is not just for non-fiction or memoir writers. In this interactive, three-hour workshop, we will write to prompts centered on how to transform personal life experiences into fictional plots, characters, and dialogue. We will use the familiar and rely on memory to fuel our creativity. We are very excited to announce our first ever Parents’ “Write” Out event! On October 17, Friday, drop the kids off at G3 Point Loma from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., then walk over to Inspirations Gallery to join fellow parents/writers for a well-deserved evening of in-person writing. We will be providing the space, some optional prompts or quiet time, and a bit of socialization at the beginning/end you bring the laptops, notebooks, and creativity! Drop in whenever. The Sweetwater Woman’s Club is bringing some early holiday spirit to the South Bay—hosting its 57th Annual Holiday Craft Show. This craft show will feature nearly two dozen local artisans and small businesses selling their goods and products—ornaments and decor, jewelry, quilts, soaps, baked goods, silent auction items, and raffle dozens of gifts donated from local businesses—to fundraise for local scholarships. Each year the Club gives a scholarship to a deserving senior from each of the high schools in the Sweetwater Union High School District.
