  • This year marks Campland on the Bay’s 55th anniversary, and to celebrate over five decades of family-friendly fun, San Diego’s favorite RV camping destination is hosting a full day of festivities during Campland on the Bay Day on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., both resort guests and the public can enjoy a variety of activities at Campland’s scenic Central Park on Mission Bay. The day will be filled with games, live entertainment sponsored by Good Sam, delicious food from local food trucks, and opportunities to win prizes. For those looking for thrills, the Giant Water Slide will be open, offering fun for all ages before it closes for the season. Camping World will also show off their most popular RV’s. Activities for All Ages Attendees of all ages can join in on life-sized games, a family-friendly Howling Contest, and a bean bag tournament for a chance to win fun prizes. Throughout the day, raffle prizes will be drawn on the hour, every hour. Enjoy live entertainment from the 3 Car Garage Band presented by Good Sam, with DJ Heath providing the soundtrack earlier in the day. Guests can kick back with lawn chairs or blankets in Central Park and soak up the festive atmosphere while sampling the offerings from a variety of local food trucks. Campland’s activities and amenities are also available to guests camping at Mission Bay RV Resort, accessible via a short walk or bike ride over the Mike Gotch Memorial Bridge. The serene bayside destination now offers an additional 147 family-friendly RV and tent camping sites available for online booking at MissionBayRVResort.com. For guests who do not own an RV, local RV rental companies are available to deliver an RV to your site, set it up and have it ready for your enjoyment. RV rental arrangements must be made directly through the rental companies. Tent camping is also available at Campland and Mission Bay RV Resort, which offer the most affordable and family-friendly waterfront accommodations in Mission Bay Park.
