Hatch Chile lovers are invited to experience the unique flavor of the prized peppers known for their hot yet sweet taste that adds a bold, smoky flair to any dish. This year, Gelson’s Kitchen will offer an array of ready-to-eat Hatch Chile infused dishes that cater to all heat preferences – from mild to hot to extra hot. Selections are available in-store and include Hatch Chile Super Lump Crab Cakes, Hatch Egg Salad, Hatch Chile/Grilled Corn/Heirloom Tomato Salad, Hatch Mac & Cheese, Hatch Chicken Sausage Onions and Peppers, Hatch Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla, and Hatch Chile Turkey Meatballs. Customers can place orders for the Hatch Chiles online starting July 22. Chile orders must be placed before 4pm on the Wednesday prior to the weekend of pick up. Learn and develop your hand-building pottery skills with three projects, such as a set of nesting plates, a berry bowl, and your own custom mug. Each class will introduce a new project to work on, which will require practicing different techniques to get to the final assembled piece. The last class will be reserved for glazing all the work produced during the class. At the class's completion, you will take home your glazed projects, finished and ready to be used. Beginning to intermediate students are welcome. Materials: The materials fee includes clay, glazes, firings, and the use of basic tools. It is recommended that students bring an apron and a hand towel for cleanup, as well as a notebook and pencil to write down instructions and sketch ideas.
