Of Stardust Live offers innovative pop up Art + Music experiences open to all levels of art exposure! We explore the fusion between meditation, movement, community, and creation in an intimate container. This is a welcoming space to play, create, dream, evolve. The evening will begin with connected breath, coherent heart meditation, and eye gazing and then we will draw our muses. Open new channels of creativity and drop out of the thinking, judging mind, and into the body and its beautiful intuition. It’s not about being a professional artist, everyone has the capacity to create art and tap into their unique way of expressing it. 1-2 live nude figure models will begin with short poses for quick sketches and progress into longer 5-15 min held poses as we go deeper into the practice. The sculptural relief combines the dimensionality of sculpture with the compositional demands of drawing to create an exciting artistic challenge. In this course students will make three relief sculptures, each of varying depths (a low-relief, mid-relief and high-relief). We will work with the model as well as with drapery in order to study the way form can be compressed from full dimensionality into low and mid relief. Making a rare stop in So. California, the renowned ensemble performs the unique swing style sounds of the melodic music of Django Reinhardt in a mix of soulful romance and rollicking celebration. John Jorgenson, possibly one of the best jazz guitarists alive, is known for his mastery of a broad musical palette and is leaving a lasting legacy in the art of guitar performance. The group’s style has been called gypsy jazz after the dynamic string-driven swing created in 1930’s Paris – but their compositions draw in elements of Latin, Romanian, Classical, Rock and Greek music, so perhaps a more apt description is “21st Century World Music.” This show is golden.
