"Return to Remembrance" Directed by John Marrs A soldier searches the West for his family after the Civil War. What he finds is not what he expected. The festival is organized by KPBS in partnership with the Film Consortium San Diego to present the Local Film Showcase.   • Carving Club Mondays, 5 – 7 p.m. Join us for a weekly Carving Club at San Diego Craft Collective. Hone your wood carving skills in a supportive environment of fellow carvers. The Craft Collective offers carvers of varying skill levels a place to meet to create their own spoons or other carved items. Hand tools will be available for use during club meeting time. Carving Club is suitable for those who have completed the Introduction to spoon carving course, or have some previous carving experience. Price is a monthly fee. We will supply materials and carving tools, but if you have your own, please bring them. If you’d like to purchase or bring your own tools, the following tools are what the instructor recommends for carving a simple spoon: -1” #5 sweep gouge -1.5” #3 sweep gouge -1/2” #8 sweep gouge -straight carving knife -slightly curved carving knife Ages 14+ welcome.
