  • The Spring Garden & Butterfly Festival on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m is BACK as you know it with fun and new exciting happenings, too! This year’s event is FREE to attend, but will host exclusive ticketed experiences throughout the day for guests to purchase. Leading off the exclusive experiences is The Water Conservation Garden’s Ms. Smarty-Plants™! Cuyamaca College’s Ornamental Horticulture Department is holding their largest Plant Sale of the year in their brand-new Cuyamaca College Nursery on the campus. The Heritage of the America’s Museum will host tours throughout the day. NEW this year, the Cuyamaca College – Coyote Music Festival will present a range of amazing artists in The Garden’s Amphitheater all day. From Rock-n-Roll bands to singer-songwriters’ melodic tunes, there will something extraordinary for everyone to enjoy.
  • Watch parties are being hosted for all three of the United States’ group stage matches: USA vs. Vietnam (Friday, July 21 – 6 p.m. PT), USA vs. Netherlands (Wednesday, July 26 – 6 p.m. PT) and USA vs. Portugal (Tuesday, Aug. 1. – 12:00 a.m. PT). The opening group stage match on July 21 will take place at Novo Brazil Brewing in Otay Ranch. Following the USWNT match, San Diego Wave takes on the Portland Thorns at 7:30 p.m. PT in the team’s final stretch of UKG Challenge Cup group stage matches. The Wave’s signature “La Ola” will be available for a special price of $5. On July 26, the Wave will host a watch party at Guava Beach Bar & Grill in Mission Beach as the USWNT takes on the Netherlands. In the final group match for the USWNT on Aug. 1, the Wave and American Outlaws San Diego will be co-hosting a watch party at O’Brien’s Pub in Convoy. Additional watch parties and activations will continue to be added throughout the World Cup, with details here on the San Diego Wave website.
