The Maui native uses local, fresh ingredients to serve Asian and Pacific classics like Huli Huli chicken, Loco Moco, Spam Musubi and Kalei’s signature Garlic Chicken. Kalei’s Kitchenette is a small business partner of FOODWORKS, a restaurant and small business incubator founded by John Coker under global food service leader Compass Group. FOODWORKS helps small businesses – especially those owned by women and minorities like Kalei’s Kitchenette – attain the resources needed to grow in a highly competitive industry throughout all regions in the United States.
